MCL’s MCC kiosk system is designed to house motor control centres. Our MCC kiosk is a low maintenance, long life installation. Manufactured to our customers’ requirements options include a wide variety of additional features such as forced ventilation, hinged transom, removable sill and GRP cowl for weather protection.
The MCC Kiosk system can be prebuilt offsite to minimise disruption and delivery allowing for a quick and effective MCC installation. The MCC kiosk system combines STAKKAbox™ ULTIMA Connect access chamber with galvanised supporting frame with anti-slip chequered plate flooring. All steel work is designed and manufactured to BS EN 1090.
Traditionally, the power to a motor control centre is fed through the top left-hand side of its kiosk or from underneath through a concrete chamber. Most often the underground entry method is used due to the problems associated with overhead cabling.
The MCL MCC Kiosk & Chamber System solution resolves the issue of civil construction of a bottom entry concrete chamber by combining the kiosk with an MCL Infrastructure RapidSTACK or ULTIMA Connect chamber.
The combination offers a unique opportunity for innovation and standardisation. With a standard width and depth, the length of the chamber suits the MCC, in increments of 1m up to 11m long. With both elements of the package being built off-site, up to two weeks are saved on site which reduces costs and lowers the risk of accidents.
